Asansol Burdwan Seva Kendra (ABSK) is the Social Service Society of the Catholic Dioceses of Asansol, a faith based organization formed in the year 1998 to uplift those who are left behind in the society and to assist the distressed people of the society who are in need. Since 1998 ABSK has been providing social and humanitarian services to the poor and marginalized sections of the society in collaboration with National and International organizations, through various projects; related to Agriculture, Promotion of Child rights and ensuring child protection, Women empowerment, Education, Livelihood, Community health, HIV/AIDS, Strengthening of CBOs, Natural resource management, Promoting renewable energy options and Capacity building. The organization is registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI 1961, 1999-2000 and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act in the year 1999.
