CHILDLINE Project

CHILDLINE is India’s first 24hours, free, emergency phone service for children in need of aid and assistance. 1098 is the toll-free number to access the services through CHILDLINE for the children who are in need of care and protection. Since 22nd February 2011, the bell of CHILDLINE started ringing at the CHILDLINE office of ABSK to provide shelter or to rescue the children who are in need of care and protection. We not only respond to the emergency needs of the children but also link them to the allied services for their long-term care and rehabilitation. We network with different stakeholders at the district and State level to provide an immediate response to the children in distress and facilitate rescue and restoration of the children to their families or to different homes for the children.

We Reach Out to:

  • Street children with no one to support them.
  • Child laborers working in the unorganized and organized sectors.
  • Children affected by physical/sexual/emotional abuse in family, school, institutions or any other places.
  • Children who need emotional support and guidance.
  • Victims of child trafficking
  • Children abandoned by parents or guardians.
  • Missing Children
  • Runaway children
  • Children whose families are in crisis.
